We work closely with Ventura and Ojai agencies, physicians and allied health care professionals who share our mission. We are located in Ventura, California.
Our “brick and mortar” has moved! We’re here by appointment, 5 days per week, including some weekends. Just call us so we’re sure to be here when you’d like to come in. We can respond quickly to urgent needs for breastfeeding consultation and/or breast pump rental.
We’re located at 4243 Telegraph Road, Ventura, 93003, next to Ventura College, in the same parking lot as Santino’s Pizza. The nearest cross street is Ashwood.
Renee Mandala, M.A., C.D.(DONA) CLC, is the owner of Mothers Guild and a Certified Lactation Counselor/Educator, and Birth/Postpartum doula, who has supported hundreds of new families over the last decade. Renee attended her first homebirth in 1998 and has since served at over 100 home and hospital births as a professional birth doula certified by Doulas of North America. She has spent even more of her career as a postpartum doula, assisting hundreds of new families in their homes, many of these families of multiples.
In 2000, Renee took her first of many lactation trainings including UCLA and the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition. These days, she is pursuing International Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant. Renee has a Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Consciousness, Health and Healing. She also studies and shares about pre- and peri-natal psychology.
Renee’s most beloved teachers are the families that have so candidly shared their birthing and new parenting journeys.
