Breastfeeding Consultation

Mom’s choice: In-Home, Skype, our Ventura office, or phone. We visit homes in Ventura, Los Angles and Santa Barbara!

When a new mother has questions or worries, you don’t have to go it alone! Breastfeeding moms can feel isolated and without guideposts in those early days. Alternatively, conflicting breastfeeding advice from caring friends, family and even professionals can feel overwhelming.

Mothers Guild offers private breastfeeding consultation in your home, our office in Ventura, via Skype or phone. Together, we will address your concerns. We will design a short-term plan, leave you with written recommendations and plan for follow-up in 2 – 5 days. We work closely with you as you grow confident and reach your nursing goals. We stick by you until you find your way!

*On occasion, young babies benefit from supplementation with expressed breast milk or formula while learning to breastfeed or while mom is building supply. Rather than use bottles, which can create a barrier to your baby learning to breastfeed, we teach alternative methods. If you are already bottle feeding but hope to breastfeed, we will teach you how to supplement safely and build milk supply while learning to nurse your baby.
